About
Eric De Vries is a singer songwriter who has built up five solo albums, and his sound leans toward bluegrass as much as folk. He plays with his Song & Dance Band, a group that handles his fast, virtuoso arrangements with ease. The single 'Shadow Of A Man' is a good example: lively, driving and played at serious speed. He also has a long link with British songwriting veteran Iain Matthews, whose Matthews Southern Comfort he plays in as a band member. Matthews sings on 'Shadow Of A Man', alongside Dutch pop great Fay Lovsky. His album 'Song & Dance Man' was well received and took him on tour through the Netherlands, Germany and Austria. 'Traveler's Heart' is the album that followed it.
