Rooted in Volendam, the Evergreen Top 1000 Live Band has built a reputation over the years for theatrical concerts that celebrate the golden era of pop music. Their show Golden Songs is a tribute to the kind of timeless classics that stick with you across generations, drawing from artists like Tom Jones, The Everly Brothers, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Beach Boys, Rob de Nijs, Wim Sonneveld and The Cats, among others. The band is fronted by two vocalists, Simon Stein and Kelly Veerman, with the full lineup also including Marco Hoogland, Berry Jansen, Ruud Schouten and Bart Klomp. Their sets mix well known international pop classics with Dutch favourites, woven together with personal anecdotes and a dose of humour. It is the kind of night built around recognition and warmth rather than spectacle.
