About
Eye of Melian are a Dutch symphonic metal group whose music sits at the crossroads of orchestral grandeur and fantasy storytelling. Their sound draws on the cinematic language of film composers like Hans Zimmer, Howard Shore and James Newton Howard, blending sweeping orchestral arrangements with ethereal vocals and real compositional depth. The lyrical and thematic world they inhabit leans heavily into the poetic imagination of high fantasy, with Tolkien's universe among the touchstones. The result feels less like a conventional metal record and more like a full score, rich with narrative texture.
