About
Hamburg based producer and vocalist Faderhead, the project of Sami Mark Yahya, has been a fixture in the European electronic underground since his 2006 debut FH1 on Accession Records, which landed immediate standout tracks like "The Protagonist" and "O/H Scavenger". His sound sits at the intersection of futurepop and electropop, built for dark club floors, though he is just as comfortable with piano ballads like "Exit Ghost" as he is with anthems like "TZDV" and the long running dancefloor favourite "Dirtygrrrls/Dirtybois". Over roughly ten studio albums he has toured extensively across Europe and the US, headlined festival stages at Wave Gotik Treffen and M'era Luna, and shared bills with the likes of Laibach, Project Pitchfork and Covenant. The concept album Black Friday earned him his strongest reviews and a short film to match. More recently he has been collaborating outward, releasing singles with Sven Friedrich of Solar Fake and Chris Harms of Lord Of The Lost, and writing for other acts including Eisbrecher.
