Freedom Fry

About

Freedom Fry is a duo built on a very Hollywood meet cute: Parisian Marie Seyrat was styling a video for Bruce Driscoll's other band, Blondfire, and he liked her whispery voice enough to suggest writing songs together. Their first EP, Let The Games Begin, landed in 2011, and the track "Rolling Down" ended up in an episode of Bones. Since then their songs have turned up all over ads, film and TV, from "Shaky Ground" in The Flash to "Awake" in Netflix's Love. They like a good stunt. For their 2018 debut album Classic they put up a billboard on Melrose Avenue, flew a banner over South by Southwest and surprised a crowd with mariachis. In 2019 they dropped a fresh three song EP every month, each with a cover, and their take on Gorillaz's "Clint Eastwood" closed out a season of The Morning Show. Their French language album L'Invitation followed in 2021, and "Le Point Zéro" later popped up in M3GAN.
