About
Frozen Crown punch well above their weight for a band that only formed in 2017. The Milan power metal outfit built their reputation fast, moving from self released early albums to touring alongside DragonForce and headlining their own European runs within a few years. Their sound sits at the intersection of thundering speed metal riffs and symphonic melody, anchored by Giada Etro's vocals and Federico Mondelli's guitar work, which can stack up to 16 layers of solos on a single track. That last detail explains why the band now runs three guitarists live rather than resort to backing tracks. Their fifth album, War Hearts, released in 2024 on Napalm Records, marked a genuine reset for the group, the first record featuring every current member on the actual recording. The band describes it as the opening chapter of a rebooted Frozen Crown, so expect more to follow.
