About
Gavin Adcock is a Georgia born country and red dirt singer songwriter whose breakout came when a knee injury sidelined him from college football and pointed him full time toward music. His first single, "Ain't No Cure", got the ball rolling, but it was "A Cigarette" that put him on the map in a serious way, racking up over 150 million streams. He signed with Warner Music Nashville and landed management with Red Light Management, a pairing that helped push his debut album, Actin' Up Again, out in 2024. His sound sits squarely in country and red dirt territory, and he has been vocal about keeping the genre's lines intact. After publicly calling out Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter for topping country charts, he sparked a wider conversation about what country music actually is and who gets to claim it. Whether you agree with him or not, it is the kind of stance that tells you exactly where Adcock is coming from as an artist.
