Get Dead are a punk band out of Oakland, California, and they've been doing things their own way since forming in 2007. Built from veterans of various Bay Area acts, the group self released their debut album Letters Home in 2009 and kept grinding through early albums and relentless touring before catching the ear of Fat Mike, the NOFX frontman and owner of Fat Wreck Chords. That connection landed them a deal with one of punk's most storied labels, and their third album Bad News came out in 2013, recorded and produced by Fat Mike alongside former drummer Josh Garcia. Since then Get Dead have kept up a punishing pace, pushing out Honesty Lives Elsewhere in 2016 and Dancing with the Curse in 2020, with tours across Europe and the US woven in between. Their sound sits firmly in the Fat Wreck tradition of melodic, street level punk, and the band has built a loyal following the old fashioned way, by showing up and playing.
