About
Grunge Unplugged Undercoversessie takes the MTV Unplugged concept and fills it with some of the most iconic sounds of the 1990s grunge era. The show works through material from Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam and Nirvana, performed in an intimate, atmospheric setting that strips the music back without losing its raw edge. Five seasoned musicians make up the group, two of them sharing lead vocal duties. They grew up with this music during the 90s, and that familiarity comes through in the way they handle the material, not as a tribute act going through the motions, but as a band that genuinely feels the weight and texture of the grunge catalogue.
