Gryffin, the stage name of San Francisco native Dan Griffith, built his reputation on a string of sharp remixes before stepping out as a solo artist. His reworkings of Tove Lo's "Talking Body", Maroon 5's "Animals" and Years & Years' "Desire" put him on the map, and his 2016 debut single "Heading Home" with Josef Salvat hit number one on Spotify's Viral 50. What sets him apart in the electronic space is his approach to sound: classically trained on piano and comfortable on guitar, he weaves organic instrumentation into melodic house productions for something that feels warmer than your average club track. His 2019 debut album Gravity landed well with critics, and "Remember" with Zohara topped the US Dance Charts, his first number one. By 2024 he was back with his third studio album Pulse, a record leaning into themes of energy and nostalgia for the early 2000s EDM era, featuring collaborators including Elderbrook and Armin van Buuren. More recently he teamed up with Kaskade and Nu La on "In My Head".
