Two Juno Awards for Dance Recording of the Year is a serious flex, and Toronto DJ and producer Hatiras earned both of them. His track "Spaced Invader" took the prize in 2002, followed by "Spanish Fly" in 2006, cementing his reputation as one of Canada's sharpest house music operators. His sound moves fluidly across house, funky house, disco house and jackin house, that kind of deep, groove forward style that works as well in a club at 2am as it does on a festival stage. Not many producers can claim two wins in the same category at Canada's biggest music awards, and Hatiras sits comfortably in that short list.
