Kingston, Ontario's Headstones have been one of Canada's most reliably visceral rock acts since forming in 1989, known for punk influenced energy and a no nonsense stage presence that keeps mid sized venues packed. Vocalist Hugh Dillon, guitarist Trent Carr, and the rest of the band built a catalog tackling serious and often controversial ground, and between 1996 and 2016 they ranked among the top 35 best selling Canadian bands in the country. After breaking up in 2003 and reuniting in 2011, they came back swinging with Love + Fury, a crowdfunded record that landed them their first top 10 album and a number one hit in "Long Way to Neverland". They have kept up a steady pace since the reunion, releasing Little Army in 2017 with the hit "Devil's on Fire", followed by PeopleSkills in 2019, an album notable for being their first released on vinyl. The lead single "Leave It All Behind" hit number 8 on the Billboard Canada Rock chart. Their album Flight Risk followed in 2022, showing no signs of a band content to coast on back catalog alone.
