About
hey, nothing is an emo folk duo from Atlanta, made up of Tyler Mabry and Harlow Phillips. Their songs lean into harmony driven vocals and candid lyrics that circle around addiction, family dynamics, trauma and the messy process of growing up. One of their acknowledged touchstones is Stephen Chbosky's coming of age novel The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which gives you a decent sense of the emotional register they're working in. Despite being a relatively young act, they've built a genuinely devoted following on both sides of the Atlantic. They've played major festivals including Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Shaky Knees, Austin City Limits, All Things Go, Live at Leeds in the City, Pitchfork London and Pitchfork Paris, and have toured in support of Cage the Elephant. Live, they're known for shows that mix vulnerable, story driven songs with lighter, warmer moments between them.
