About
Cardiff's Himalayas have been quietly building toward something big since forming in 2015, and the trajectory speaks for itself. Their 2017 track "Thank God I'm Not You" caught fire fast enough that BBC Cymru Wales presenter Adam Walton rang them for permission to play it within a day of release, and radio slots on BBC Radio 1, Virgin Radio, and Radio X followed. They spent 2018 on the festival circuit hard, hitting Reading and Leeds, Isle of Wight, South by Southwest, and a two venue run with Kaiser Chiefs, among plenty else. The four piece, whose sound sits somewhere in the alternative, garage and indie rock space, works closely with former Estrons member Steffan Pringle. Their debut album From Hell To Here dropped in May 2023, and in early 2024 they released "V.O.V", a collaboration with Brian Johnson produced by Dan Lancaster. That same year they supported Foo Fighters at the Principality Stadium. Their second album Bad Star arrived in April 2025.
