Holland Baroque is a Dutch period ensemble based in Utrecht, built around the artistic partnership of harpsichordist Tineke Steenbrink and violinist Judith Steenbrink. Founded in 2006 under the name Holland Baroque Society, the group has carved out a distinctive space in the early music world by working across a genuinely wide range of collaborators, from jazz musician Eric Vloeimans and composer Nico Muhly to the London Community Gospel Choir and Cappella Amsterdam. That openness to collaboration has paid off in real ways. Their album Carrousel with Eric Vloeimans, released on Channel Classics Records, won the Edison Klassiek Publieksprijs in 2017, voted by the public. The ensemble also runs the Samama Fellowship, a trainee programme giving young baroque musicians hands on experience within a working professional orchestra.
