Hoobastank built their name in Southern California playing alongside Incubus and Linkin Park before Island Records came calling in 2000. The Agoura Hills quartet put out their self titled debut in 2001, with "Crawling in the Dark" cracking the top 70 of the Billboard Hot 100 and hitting No. 3 on the Modern Rock chart. Their follow up, The Reason, is where they really landed. The title track reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2004, sat at No. 1 on the US and World Modern Rock charts, and spent a record setting 21 weeks at the top in Canada. Ten million albums sold worldwide tells the rest of that story. They have kept at it since, releasing their sixth studio album Push Pull in 2018, and the band has moved through a few different line up changes over the years while keeping Doug Robb and Dan Estrin at the core.
