About
Hot Milk are a Manchester rock band built around the songwriting partnership of Han Mee and Jim Shaw, two guitarist vocalists who bring a genre blurring energy that pulls from hard rock, pop punk, and beyond. Their lyrics tend to dig into social and political territory, giving the music a bit more weight than your average guitar driven act. They signed to Music For Nations in 2021 and released their debut full length, A Call to the Void, in 2023, following a run of three EPs that steadily built their reputation. Live, they move fast: barely a year into their existence they were already opening for Foo Fighters and playing Reading and Leeds. Kerrang! Radio and BBC Radio 1 both picked up on them early, and Kerrang! later called their second EP one of the best of 2021. One of the more fun footnotes in their story is that part of The King and Queen of Gasoline was written in a Los Angeles hotel room using Dave Grohl's guitar and Mark Hoppus' bass.
