Illenium, the project of Chicago born producer and DJ Nicholas Daniel Miller, is one of the more distinctive voices in electronic music, blending melodic bass with emotional songwriting in a way that has racked up over a billion streams across platforms. His first three albums, Ashes, Awake, and Ascend, form a loose phoenix themed trilogy, with Ascend being the one that really broke him wide open, topping the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart and peaking at number 14 on the Billboard 200 in 2019. That same year, two of his singles hit number 3 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart: "Good Things Fall Apart" with Jon Bellion and "Takeaway" with the Chainsmokers featuring Lennon Stella. His remix work is no afterthought either. The rework of Flume's "Say It" won Remix of the Year at the inaugural Electronic Music Awards in 2017, and his remix of The Chainsmokers' "Don't Let Me Down" racked up over 100 million SoundCloud plays. His fourth album, Fallen Embers, earned him his first Grammy nomination, and he has kept the momentum going with a self titled fifth album and a sixth, Odyssey.
