Inhaler came roaring out of Dublin with a debut album, It Won't Always Be Like This, that went straight to number one in both Ireland and the UK in 2021. The four piece draw heavily on the post punk and Madchester sounds that shaped the late 80s and 90s, with vocalist Elijah Hewson citing Stone Roses, Joy Division, New Order and Oasis as core touchstones. The Strokes are another reference point, and the band reportedly had The Beatles: Get Back on rotation while recording their second album. Cuts & Bruises followed in 2023, hitting number one in Ireland and number two in the UK, and came with a run of high profile supporting slots for Pearl Jam, Arctic Monkeys and Harry Styles. Their third album, Open Wide, produced by Kid Harpoon, arrived in February 2025 and topped the Irish charts again, cementing a run of three straight chart topping records at home.
