About
Jaap Boots is a Dutch singer songwriter and writer who has spent decades moving between music, radio and journalism. He spent twenty five years working at VPRO Radio, and alongside that career he put out four albums, contributed to opinion magazines, interviewed pop and rock stars, and wrote several books. His live show is a one man rock and roll affair, just him and a guitar, and it draws on all those layers of a life lived in public and in print. The show Montagnes Sur Mer sees him reflecting on his youth and the region around Bergen in the Netherlands, the place he left around 1980 to try his luck in the city.
