Jaymes Young makes the kind of brooding, emotionally charged indie pop that tends to find people at their most vulnerable moments. Signed to Atlantic Records in 2013, he toured with London Grammar early on and appeared on David Guetta's 2014 album Listen alongside Birdy. His debut album Feel Something arrived in 2017, home to the RIAA gold certified single "I'll Be Good". He also contributed uncredited vocals to two tracks on ZHU's debut album Generationwhy, including "Hometown Girl" and "Cold Blooded". The standalone single "Happiest Year", dropped in 2019, went viral and earned its own gold certification. Then in 2021, "Infinity" from his debut album hit number one on TikTok's Viral chart, introducing his sound to a whole new wave of listeners. With his influences ranging from Radiohead to Death Cab for Cutie, Young consistently threads melancholy and warmth into his songwriting in a way that clearly resonates.
