About
Also known as: Jenifer Bartoli, Jenifer Yaël Dadouche Bartoli, Jenifer Yaël Dadouche-Bartoli, Дженифер Бартоли
Jenifer's career kicked off in 2002 when she won the very first season of Star Academy France, and the hits came fast. "J'attends l'amour" was followed by "Au soleil", which turned into one of France's summer hits that year. Her self titled debut sold over three quarters of a million copies, with a song written by Marc Lavoine and a duet with fellow Star Academy student Mario. She played the Paris Olympia early on, a venue she had long dreamed of. Her second album, Le Passage (2004), went more personal and melancholy, with songs from Calogero, Kyo and Tina Arena plus one she co wrote. Later came Appelle moi Jen in 2010, a pop rock record with an electronic, 1980s French feel, led by the single "Je danse". She has also been a coach on The Voice for TF1 and a member of the Les Enfoirés charity ensemble since 2003. More recently she has put out clips like "Ose" and "Mourir sur scène".
