Jenny on Holiday is the solo project of Jenny Hollingworth, one half of the experimental pop duo Let's Eat Grandma. Her debut album Quicksand Heart, released through Transgressive Records, trades the boundary pushing weirdness of her main band for something more inward looking and polished. Critics picked up on that shift pretty quickly, with some praising the record's emotional honesty and tight pop craft, while others felt it played things a little too safe. PopMatters called it "as good as pop gets", landing the sweet spot between vulnerability and accessibility. DIY noted it lacks the experimental edge of Let's Eat Grandma but celebrated its introspective warmth. On the record, Hollingworth handled vocals, keyboards and piano, working closely with collaborators Steph Marziano and Jacob Berry, with Rosa Walton adding backing vocals on a couple of tracks.
