About
Also known as: Яна Шемаєва
Jerry Heil started out posting vlogs and song covers on YouTube back in 2012, and one fan was Okean Elzy frontman Sviatoslav Vakarchuk, who regularly reshared her takes on the band's songs. The real turning point came in 2019 with "Okhrana, otmiena", a snippet that spread fast after other Ukrainian singers shared it and ended up a top five hit at home. Songwriting for other artists followed, and she has been a fixture of Ukraine's Eurovision selection ever since. She finished third at Vidbir 2023 with "When God Shut the Door", then won the 2024 final alongside Alyona Alyona with "Teresa & Maria", which placed third in Eurovision with 453 points. In 2025 she put out the album АРХЕТИПИ, led by the Yarmak collab "З якого ти поверху неба?", then teamed up with Within Temptation on "Sing Like A Siren". Her pop leans from alternative and baroque to dance and soul.
