Jess Glynne made her mark before most people even knew her name, lending her voice to Clean Bandit's "Rather Be" and Route 94's "My Love" in 2014, both of which hit number one in the UK and turned her into one of the most recognisable voices in British pop. "Rather Be" alone became the most streamed song of 2014 and earned her a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording. Her solo work kept that momentum going: debut album I Cry When I Laugh entered the UK Albums Chart at number one in 2015, driven by the singles "Hold My Hand" and "Don't Be So Hard on Yourself". Her second album Always In Between arrived in 2018 and made history when "I'll Be There" gave her a seventh UK number one, making her the first British female solo artist to reach that milestone. The record also featured collaborations with Rudimental and Jax Jones. A third album, simply titled Jess, followed in 2024 on EMI Records after she parted ways with Atlantic. Across soul, pop and house, she has built a body of work that keeps landing.
