Few pop acts of the early 2000s had quite the cultural footprint that Jessica Simpson did. Her 1999 debut single "I Wanna Love You Forever" shot to number three on the Billboard Hot 100, and the album it came from, Sweet Kisses, moved two million copies in the US alone. She kept the momentum going with In This Skin in 2003, which sold three million copies stateside, partly boosted by her MTV reality show Newlyweds with then husband Nick Lachey. Over the course of her career she has shifted more than 30 million albums worldwide, covering pop, teen pop, and even a full country detour with Do You Know in 2008. Beyond the music, Simpson built The Jessica Simpson Collection into a fashion empire generating over a billion dollars in revenue across 34 product categories. On the acting side she played Daisy Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard and cut a memorable cover of "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'" for the soundtrack. Lately she has been back in the studio, dropping new music including the official videos for "Blame Me" and "Leave" in early 2025.
