With over 30 million albums sold worldwide, Jewel built one of the most unlikely success stories in 90s pop and folk. Her debut, Pieces of You, went 12 times platinum and became one of the best selling debut albums ever, powered by singles like 'Who Will Save Your Soul', 'You Were Meant for Me', and 'Foolish Games'. She wrote many of those songs while living out of her car, performing at small San Diego cafes before Atlantic Records came calling in 1993. She has never stayed in one lane for long. Spirit followed in 1998, then came the pop and dance detour of 0304 in 2003, and her full pivot to country with Perfectly Clear in 2008, which debuted at the top of the Billboard country chart. She also appeared in Ang Lee's film Ride with the Devil, published a poetry collection, and in 2021 won season six of The Masked Singer as the Queen of Hearts. Four Grammy nominations round out a career that keeps finding new directions.
