Jisoo's solo debut came with a bang. Her 2023 single album Me sold over a million copies in its first week, the first time a Korean female soloist had ever done that, and lead single "Flower" landed at number two on the Billboard Global 200. She's also one of the four members of Blackpink, the girl group that debuted under YG Entertainment in 2016 and became one of the best selling girl groups of all time. Outside the group she's built a second career in acting, starting with a cameo in The Producers and a first lead role in the series Snowdrop, which earned her an Outstanding Korean Actress award at the Seoul International Drama Awards. More recently she started her own label, Blissoo, signed with Warner Records, and put out the EP Amortage, whose single "Earthquake" gave her a first number one on Billboard's World Digital Songs chart. "Eyes Closed" then got her onto the US Hot 100 for the first time.
