About
Jodymoon is a duo from Maastricht built around singer and pianist Digna Janssen and multi instrumentalist Johan Smeets. Together they craft music that sits somewhere between folk, pop, roots and singer songwriter territory, and since forming in 2006 they have put out seven studio albums plus a live double album. Their reach has stretched well beyond the Netherlands, with performances in Canada, the UK, Spain, Italy, Belgium and Germany, and they have shared stages with the likes of Joan Armatrading and Damien Jurado. Winning the public vote at the Grand Prize of the Netherlands back in 2008 gave them early momentum, and they have kept up a steady pace ever since. Their most recent studio release, The Machine, arrived in 2025, continuing a run of albums that critics have consistently responded to well.
