About
Also known as: Jørn Lande
Jorn is basically a vehicle for one of Norway's best known hard rock and metal voices, Jørn Lande, who started the band in 2000 and put out the debut album Starfire the same year. A quarter of a century on, the count stands at 15 studio albums and 3 live records, which is a seriously busy run for a project that keeps its sound rooted in heavy rock and metal. The lineup has shifted a lot over the years, with a long list of guitarists, bassists and drummers passing through, plus guest spots on albums like Starfire and Life On Death Road. These days Tore Moren and Adrian SB handle guitars, Øyvind Strønen plays bass, Alessandro Del Vecchio is on keys and Francesco Jovino sits behind the kit. Along the way there have been a covers album, Unlocking the Past, and a couple of compilations, including The Gathering and Dukebox. Live clips like Rock And Roll Angel and Blacksong show how the band comes across on stage.
