About
Kaleida are a London based English German duo made up of vocalist Christina Wood and keyboardist Cicely Goulder, and their sound sits somewhere between dream pop and synth pop with a quality that is genuinely hard to pin down: mystical, a little haunting, and oddly hopeful all at once. A lot of people first heard them without knowing it, because their minimal, hypnotic track "Think" scored one of the most striking scenes in the 2014 action film John Wick, and the contrast between that sparse song and the on screen violence made it unforgettable. They have since placed music in Atomic Blonde, several Netflix series, and CSI. Three albums in, from Tear the Roots through to In Arms in 2024, they have built a quietly devoted following. The pair wrote and produced In Arms largely long distance after Wood moved from London to the US, which says something about how committed they are to making it work.
