About
Also known as: K.A.R.D, K♠RD, 카드
KARD is a South Korean group with an unusual hook: two guys and two girls, each tied to a playing card. BM is the King, J.Seph the Ace, Somin the Black JokeR and Jiwoo the Color JokeR. Before they ever officially debuted, DSP Media rolled out three project singles, each with a "hidden card" guest, starting with "Oh NaNa" in December 2016. It got attention quickly, and Billboard put them on its list of best new K pop groups that same month. The follow up "Don't Recall" charted on the UK Singles Chart, and the group toured North and South America before their official debut. That debut came in July 2017 with the EP Hola Hola, which reached number 3 on Billboard's World Albums chart. They went on to play Japan's Summer Sonic Festival and KCON in Los Angeles. Later videos include "Gunshot" in 2020 and "Ring The Alarm" in 2022.
