About
Founded in Malmö in 2002 by bassist and keyboardist Jonas Reingold, Karmakanic have spent over two decades carving out a distinctive space in progressive rock. Signed to Inside Out Music, the Swedish group blends symphonic prog textures with progressive metal weight, and their lineup features some serious talent including drummer Morgan Ågren and vocalist Göran Edman. Their catalogue runs from the debut Entering the Spectra through to Wheel of Life, Who's the Boss in the Factory?, and the 2016 release Dot. In 2025 they returned with Transmutation, their sixth studio album, keeping the band very much active after nearly 25 years together. Tracks like End Of The Road and Brace for Impact have surfaced alongside it, suggesting Karmakanic are in a productive stretch right now.
