From Nqamakwe in the Eastern Cape, Karyendasoul is a South African DJ and producer whose name started circulating seriously when his single 'iMali', featuring Zakes Bantwini and Nana Atta, hit number one on the South African radio charts and stayed there for five weeks. That kind of run gets you noticed, and it did. He had already been moving in interesting circles before that, earning a spot on a Kenny Dope compilation for ADE back in 2016 and releasing EPs under Gondwana. His debut studio album We Live 4 Our Music landed in April 2023, a full afro tech house record backed by singles 'Umthandazo', 'Something More', and 'Jacaranda'. He also co produced 'Osama' by Zakes Bantwini and Kasango, a track from Ghetto King. More recently he dropped 'Isambulo' in late 2024, keeping the momentum going.
