About
Katie Henry plays blues rock the way it was meant to feel: raw, live, and in the room together. The New Jersey singer, guitarist, and pianist signed to Ruf Records has released three albums since 2018, drawing on the sounds of Elmore James, Freddie King, and John Lee Hooker while carving out something very much her own. Her sophomore record, On My Way, was tracked live at Brooklyn's Degraw Sound Studios during the pandemic, and she described the experience as "capturing lightning in a bottle." Critics agreed: Classic Rock, NME, and The Guardian all took notice, with The Guardian calling her "a runaway talent you need to keep up with." The album climbed to number six on the Billboard Top Blues Albums Chart. Her third album, Get Goin', followed in February 2024 on Ruf Records.
