Kiesza wrote and recorded her breakthrough single 'Hideaway' in under 90 minutes, then shot the video for it with a broken rib, dancing through a Brooklyn street in one continuous take. It debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart and racked up over 135 million views by October 2014. That kind of momentum is hard to fake. The Calgary born singer and multi instrumentalist blends deep house, dance pop and UK garage into something that feels both club ready and sharply personal. Beyond her own records, she has written for Rihanna, Kylie Minogue and Icona Pop, co wrote Gorgon City's 'Go All Night', and appeared on Duran Duran's album Paper Gods. Her second album, Crave, arrived in 2020, showing she was back and working after a serious period of recovery following a taxi accident in 2017.
