Kim Petras has been making sharp, hook driven pop since her debut single 'I Don't Want It at All' landed in 2017 and immediately signalled she had a direct line to the dancefloor. The Cologne born, Los Angeles based singer writes her own material and has penned tracks for artists including Fergie, JoJo and Twice, proving there's real craft behind the club ready gloss. Her Halloween themed projects, the EP and mixtape both called Turn Off the Light, showed a darker, theatrical side, while her 2022 EP Slut Pop leaned hard into maximalist pop provocation. The collaboration with Sam Smith on 'Unholy' changed everything. The track hit number one in twenty countries, topped the Billboard Hot 100, and won a Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, making Petras the first openly transgender woman to win in that category. Her debut studio album Feed the Beast followed in 2023, and she has kept the momentum going with Problématique and the EP Slut Pop Miami.
