About
Also known as: Kim Sung Kyu, Sungkyu
Kim Sung Kyu is the leader and main vocalist of Infinite, but his solo career has a story of its own. His first EP, Another Me, arrived in November 2012 and went straight to number one on the Gaon Album Chart. He co wrote lead single "60 Seconds" with Sweetune and helped write the lyrics for "41 Days", while Nell's Kim Jongwan handed over "Shine" as a gift for the pre release. The record sold over 91,000 copies in total, which is a pretty serious run for a short three week promotion. He followed it up in 2015 with the EP 27, which also hit number one in Korea and reached number eight on the US Billboard World Albums chart. Two singles from it, "The Answer" and "Kontrol", landed in the South Korean top ten. Outside of music he has kept busy as a musical actor, appearing in Gwanghwamun Sonata and Vampire, and he has popped up on plenty of variety shows too.
