About
Named after the knucklepuck shot made famous by the 1994 film D2: The Mighty Ducks, this Chicago area punk band have been at it since 2010, building a loyal following through relentless touring and a string of EPs. Their 2014 release While I Stay Secluded cracked the top five on the Heatseekers Albums chart and earned serious praise even from the band themselves, with guitarist Kevin Maida calling it their best work at the time. Signing to Rise Records that same year set the stage for their debut album Copacetic in 2015, which landed them spots on Warped Tour and tours alongside Neck Deep and State Champs. From there, Knuckle Puck kept pushing. Shapeshifter followed in 2017, and 20/20 arrived in 2020, featuring a collaboration with Derek Sanders of Mayday Parade. They later moved to Pure Noise Records and released their fourth album Losing What We Love in 2023, previewed by the single Groundhog Day. Along the way they covered The 1975 for Punk Goes Pop 6, which says something about their range.
