About
Also known as: kotoko
Kotoko got her start in 2000 through I've Sound, the Sapporo production team known for dating sim and eroge game soundtracks, and she has spent the years since turning that foundation into a long anime and gaming career. Her voice has opened and closed a long list of series and games, including Shakugan no Shana, Kannazuki no Miko, To Love Ru, Accel World and the BlazBlue games, where "Ao (Iconoclast)" fronted Calamity Trigger. She also writes her own lyrics and music, and has done the same for other I've Sound vocalists. A few moments stand out. She played Anime Expo in 2005 for her North American debut, wrote "Screw" for Mamoru Oshii's live action film Assault Girls, and got a song from Ryo of Supercell for "Light My Fire." She has also teamed up with Altima and Luna Haruna on game and film tie ins. After years on Rondorobe and Warner Home Video, she returned to Geneon, now NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan, in 2018 and put out the Tears Cyclone albums.
