About
L'Appel Du Vide is a six piece band playing folk that refuses to sit in one box. Six musicians, six instruments, and a live show built like a story: it starts intimate, with melancholic harmonies that hit you right in the chest, then swings into driving rhythms that get the whole room moving. The band is all about the shared experience. Their sets feel like an evening with good wine that gets a little out of hand, full of unexpected turns and moments where everyone in the room seems to be on the same wavelength. Standing still is not really an option, and there is usually plenty of dancing, laughing and raising of glasses. The name fits the stage presence: a quiet moment at the edge of the cliff, and then they jump.
