About
Dutch soprano Laetitia Gerards has built a reputation firmly rooted in opera, with roles spanning Mozart, Puccini, Massenet, Beethoven, and Bernstein. She made her international debut with the Moscow Symphony Orchestra at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory's Grand Hall, and has since performed with major ensembles including the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, Amsterdam Sinfonietta, and the Royal Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra. Her versatility showed when the Concertgebouw gave her carte blanche for their TRACKS series, letting her put together an entire programme on her own terms. She debuted with the Nederlandse Reisopera in 2019 and released her debut CD in 2020. Beyond the concert hall, she has become a recognisable face on Dutch television, appearing in Maestro, Wie is de Mol?, Code van Coppens, and most recently the 2025 season of Beste Zangers. She has also shared stages with tenor Lucas van Lierop on a couple of notable occasions, including a widely viewed David Bowie medley on Matthijs gaat door.
