Larry Fleet has a way of making country music feel lived in. The Tennessee singer and songwriter caught his big break when country star Jake Owen spotted him playing cover songs at a wedding in 2017, which led to Fleet opening shows for him and eventually competing on the USA Network singing competition Real Country, where he finished second. That runner up spot pushed him toward recording, and he signed with Big Loud in October 2019. His debut single "Where I Find God" came out of an unexpected connection: Nashville songwriter Connie Harrington found him through the gospel covers he posted every Sunday on social media, reached out, pitched him a title, and the two built the song from there. It climbed the Billboard Country Airplay chart and peaked at number 43. Since then Fleet has put out three studio albums, Workin' Hard, Stack of Records, and Earned It, with recent acoustic sessions suggesting he keeps returning to stripped back versions of his work.
