About
Lasgo built their name on a sleek blend of eurodance and vocal trance that made them one of Belgium's most recognizable electronic exports of the early 2000s. Formed in 2000 by Peter Luts and Dave McCullen, the group scored big with debut singles "Something" and "Alone", the latter hitting number 7 in the UK and number 3 in Belgium. Their album Some Things landed in the UK top 30, and "Surrender" topped the Billboard Dance Chart at the end of 2004. Original vocalist Evi Goffin stepped away in 2008 to focus on family life, and after a televised search Jelle Van Dael took over lead duties, fronting the group through their third album Smile. Van Dael departed in 2023 for a solo career, and Dutch singer Nikki Born came on board in early 2024 as the new frontwoman, with the group releasing fresh singles under her name.
