Once one quarter of Little Mix, the first and only girl group to win The X Factor UK, Leigh Anne Pinnock has been carving out a solo path that suits her just fine. After the group's 2022 hiatus, she signed with Warner Records and got to work, blending afrobeats, R&B and pop into something distinctly her own. Her debut solo singles "Don't Say Love" and "My Love" featuring Ayra Starr both cracked the UK top 30, and her debut EP No Hard Feelings followed in 2024, preceded by the single "Stealin' Love". Beyond the music, Pinnock has made a point of using her platform. Her 2021 BBC documentary Leigh Anne: Race, Pop & Power tackled colourism and racism in the music industry, earned a National Television Awards nomination, and picked up several documentary prizes. She also made her acting debut that year in Boxing Day. In 2023, Glamour named her both Musician of the Year and Breakthrough Artist, a neat double that reflects how seriously she is being taken as a solo act.
