About
Like Lizzy is a Dutch tribute act dedicated to Thin Lizzy, the iconic rock band that dominated the seventies and eighties. They cover the full breadth of the Thin Lizzy catalogue and typically play sets stretching over two hours, bringing the band's driving rhythms and twin guitar sound back to life on stage. The four piece lineup leans hard into authentic gear choices. The bass player and lead vocalist runs a five string bass through a Markbass R500 with a Cali76 compressor, Helix phaser and Orbit flanger, singing through a Sennheiser e865. The left guitarist relies on Les Pauls through a 50W Plexi into a 2x12 cabinet with a Colorsound Wah for color. The right guitarist also plays a Les Paul Custom, running through a Marshall JMP 2204, shaping his tone with Boss pedals. Behind the kit sits a drummer playing customized green sparkle Pearl drums with Paiste cymbals, with a preference for shuffle beats and no click track in sight.
