Lindsey Buckingham's fingerpicking guitar style is immediately recognizable, and it's what caught Mick Fleetwood's ear when he heard 'Frozen Love' playing at a California recording studio in the mid 1970s. That chance encounter led to Buckingham joining Fleetwood Mac alongside his then partner Stevie Nicks, and the rest is rock history. The band's 1977 album Rumours, which Buckingham helped shape as songwriter and producer, went on to sell over 40 million copies worldwide, with his track 'Go Your Own Way' leading the charge. Buckingham left Fleetwood Mac in 1987 to focus on solo work, building a catalogue of seven studio albums over the years. Songs like 'Go Insane', 'Trouble', and 'Holiday Road' show off a solo voice that's inventive and personal. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a Mac member in 1998, and Rolling Stone placed him at number 100 on their 2011 list of the greatest guitarists of all time. In 2018 he was dismissed from Fleetwood Mac, replaced by Mike Campbell and Neil Finn.
