About
Lords of Altamont have been cooking up a filthy blend of 60s garage, psychedelic rock, American punk, British rhythm and blues, and glam since forming in Los Angeles in the late 1990s. The band leans hard into B movie biker exploitation imagery, giving them a look and feel as loud as their sound. Over the years they have counted members of The Cramps, The MC5, The Fuzztones, and The Bomboras among their ranks, which tells you plenty about the kind of music they make. They have put out eight albums across labels like Sympathy for the Record Industry, Gearhead, and Heavy Psych Sounds Records, with their most recent being To Hell With Tomorrow The Lords Are Now in 2023. Career highlights include touring as support for The Cramps and landing the lead track on a MOJO Hendrix tribute compilation with their take on Can You See Me. Not subtle, not polished, and entirely the point.
