Love Spells, the project of Sir Taegen C'aion Harris, trades in a sound that feels almost weightless: an ethereal falsetto floating over atmospheric, guitar driven production that draws comparisons to Cigarettes After Sex, Cocteau Twins, and The Japanese House. The Houston born, Los Angeles based artist blends alternative R&B, hip hop production, and indie songwriting into something genuinely its own, with lyrics that lean into heartbreak, mental health, and love with real emotional transparency. His 2025 EP The Love I Showed You Was Yours To Keep put him on the map, and a close creative partnership with Kevin Abstract followed, landing him on more than half the tracks of Abstract's album Blush. His debut studio album Love Is the Law came out through RCA and drew on 1970s and 1980s new wave influences, with contributions from Rick Nowels and Rodaidh McDonald. He has kept up a steady stream of releases into 2025, with recent tracks like Wish I Didn't Love You and I Can't Let You Go In This Life showing no signs of slowing down.
