About
Loveth Besamoh is a Rotterdam based producer and songwriter whose sound draws on an unusually wide range of influences. His roots trace back to Cameroon, where he built his rhythmic foundation playing percussion in church and at boarding school, and that percussive sensibility runs through everything he makes. Working within Rotterdam's alternative scene, he weaves together elements of soul, r&b, new wave, electronica, shoegaze, afro rock, jazz, post punk and psychedelia into something that resists easy categorisation. The result is music that feels both visceral and carefully constructed, rooted in groove but always reaching for something stranger.
